Papermarq
Papermarq began as a question: why do reception details — the pieces guests touch, read, and interact with all evening — so often feel like an afterthought? The answer, we found, was that most studios weren't approaching them as design problems.
We do. Every piece we make is considered the way a graphic designer considers a printed piece — typography, material, weight, proportion, the way light behaves on a surface. We want your signage to feel like it belongs where it's placed.
We work with a limited number of events each season. Not because scarcity is a marketing strategy, but because doing this work well takes time, and time is the one thing we won't rush.
How We Work
We choose materials before we choose fonts. The way a surface behaves in light — matte, reflective, textured — determines everything that follows. A good material makes a piece feel inevitable.
The goal is never to add more. It's to identify the minimum number of elements that create maximum impact. We'd rather do one thing exceptionally than five things adequately.
We think in terms of the room, not the piece. Where does the eye land when guests walk in? What do they touch first? Signage that understands its place in the larger space is signage that works.
The Process

A 30-minute call to go deeper — collections, custom scope, materials, and timing. No pressure, all questions welcome.

We send a detailed proposal with collection or custom scope, pricing, timeline, and a proof of concept.

On deposit, production begins. You'll see proofs before anything is finalized. Final pieces ship or are delivered before your event.
